One Year Anniversary On The Blog!

Happy One Year Anniversary to my blog, Miss Renaaye, Let's Talk Fashion!

In honor of my one year anniversary of "Let's Talk Fashion", I thought it would be perfect to have an outfit photo shoot session with a local photographer. I'm very fortunate to have found a talented photographer who is able to express my style in her work. I had the pleasure of working with Dana last week. Dana works with many different clients such as weddings, engagements, baby photos, etc. Please check out her blog which includes her beautiful work!

With spring just around the corner, I wanted to incorporate some spring colors. I found this amazing mint cross body handbag at target. It is extremely practical for someone on the go like myself. It is perfect for fitting my lipstick, small wallet and iPhone. In addition, my ankle jeans are my new favorite! They are comfortable and fit a little loose on me (which allows more comfort!). The bleached design on the denim reminds me of "hello spring." To dress up the outfit a bit, I wore the one and only cute Ravesh Pumps by Steve Madden. These heels are a great signature piece to complete this outfit.

I love colors. I dressed up my fingers with medi-rings and oval shaped nails. This is my first time with oval nails. I thought I'd try out something new for the new year!

Bling On The Holidays

"Jingle Bell Jingle Bell Jingle Bell Rock"...It's that time of the year again! Oh yes the smell of Cinnamon pine cones, Holiday sugar cookies, and Green Christmas tree's, yes I love it all! I am definitely in the holiday spirit this year =) I even caught my fiancé in the act....putting up the colorful lights outside our home (he did such a great job!)

With Black Friday over and done with, I managed to grab myself an early Christmas gift: a $48 Brother Sewing Machine at Wal-Mart. I've only sewn a few times in my lifetime but decided to challenge myself and take it a bit deeper. After all, I will be enrolled in 3 Fashion courses next semester at CSUS, I might as well practice this skill now. I'll be starting my first project in a few days. Wish me luck since I need it! Haha

Black Friday Deals on Apparel: The only retail store I managed to stop by (besides Wal-Mart for my sewing machine) was Old Navy. Everything was 40% off..Not bad. Grabbed a few Plaid tops, including this Chambray Top I'm wearing in this post. A few days before Thanksgiving I was lucky and spotted these Steve Madden Riding boots for only $25 dollars at Goodwill..Not bad!

Styling Your Faux Fur

Today I am teaming up with the Fabulous Palor Girl to show you how we are wearing one of falls hottest trends, fur vests. I am so honored to be collaborating with her because she has inspired me in the past with current trends and still does till this day. I'm adoring how The Palor Girl paired her beautiful brown fur vest with the colorful plaid. In addition, she brighten's up this fall outfit with this amazing Phillip Lim Handbag! She combines plaid and fur together for a casual on the go but still classy look. Please pop on over to her blog Palor Girl to say hello and check out her amazing outfits! In addition she is creative with her style and fearless of creating her own masterpiece outfits. She is honestly one of my favorite bloggers. Check her out! =)

Story behind my faux fur: Yes this is definitely fake fur. I love fur because it creates such a fashion statement! However, you would never catch me wearing the real deal. I love animals with fur way too much! I have two lovable pets that I would do anything for (one furry husky and one little furry chihuahua). I love love love my little furry guys way to much.
So fashion statement it is with this faux fur vest. I styled mine with an adorable black polka dot sleeve dress and bright tights. Like I mentioned in my earlier post, I love wearing burgundy (these tights are more around the dark red end) in the fall/winter. Of course i'm wearing my Steve Madden Booties again that I just can't get enough of.

Special shout-out to my wonderful fiance who worked his magic behind the camera. He was such a sweetheart about taking these photo's for me. We had a blast during our little photo session...

Veteran's Day & Camouflage

Good Day Loves & Happy Veteran's Day!

Today is special day because we honor those who have served in armed services. I'm happy to say my wonderful father is a veteran and served in the US Air Force. In honor of Veteran's day, I decided to wear my camouflage leggings. Camouflage can be paired with most colors but in this case, I made the decision to pair mine with burgundy. Believe it or not, I found this burgundy over sized sweater at a thrift store last year for only $3.00. I love wearing burgundy in the fall and thought I could wear it someday and I was right! I also layered the sweater with a light weight white blouse underneath (since this sweater is low cut in front). My faux leather jacket is also an oldie but goodie. And I can't forget my new buckle booties from Steve Madden. These SM buckle booties are perfect for fall and all outfits (dresses, leggings, skinnies).

I hope everyone is enjoying this veteran's day <3

Better be Fake...

So Glamorous so Classy. Fur is becoming a huge statement this fall/winter. I've been browsing around and found a few awesome deals on faux fur couture at Forever 21 and H&M. Created this glamorous collage on Polyvore and became obsessed. Have fun and feel like the real deal.

Booties! Spotted a pair of Steve Madden Repp Booties on DSW. The Buckles are edgy and chic at the same time. Grab yours when you can. Spotted them last friday and instantly fell in love.

Who's ready to wear Faux Fur this fall?
