Playing with Dots & Plaid

Good Morning! Today I'm so excited because I am teaming up my sweet friend Amy from Classy In The Classroom to show you two different ways to style your Dot's and Plaid. I'm happy to be collaborating with sweet Amy because ever since I entered the blogging world, Amy's cute & trendy style has always inspired me. It's so classic and adorable how Amy styled her red plaid underneath the bold polka dot sweater. In addition, she add's an extra trendy & chic look with the faux fur vest and Pearl Necklace.. She looks perfectly put together! I'm really obsessed with her outfit!

Amy is a teacher and shows her readers how to dress classy but still trendy in the classroom. I adore her looks and highly recommend you check out her blog (you won't be disappointed!). She knows how to shop on a budget and will tell you where to get the deals! Please don't forget to stop by her cute blog here!

Details of my outfit: Dot's and Plaid go hand in hand together. I Saw this plaid scarf at Old Navy in four different colors. I could not resist the color. Apparently I love the color blue and anything that stands out haha. The colored leggings are a little fearless but go great with the scarf. This is a great outfit to wear for a office job or semi-casual party.

Yesterday I spent my day in orientation at Sacramento State University. It was so exciting learning about the classes I will be taking in the Spring..ALL FASHION CLASSES! I can't wait to finally express my passion in school and learn deeper about the art of fashion. I can't wait!

Styling Your Faux Fur

Today I am teaming up with the Fabulous Palor Girl to show you how we are wearing one of falls hottest trends, fur vests. I am so honored to be collaborating with her because she has inspired me in the past with current trends and still does till this day. I'm adoring how The Palor Girl paired her beautiful brown fur vest with the colorful plaid. In addition, she brighten's up this fall outfit with this amazing Phillip Lim Handbag! She combines plaid and fur together for a casual on the go but still classy look. Please pop on over to her blog Palor Girl to say hello and check out her amazing outfits! In addition she is creative with her style and fearless of creating her own masterpiece outfits. She is honestly one of my favorite bloggers. Check her out! =)

Story behind my faux fur: Yes this is definitely fake fur. I love fur because it creates such a fashion statement! However, you would never catch me wearing the real deal. I love animals with fur way too much! I have two lovable pets that I would do anything for (one furry husky and one little furry chihuahua). I love love love my little furry guys way to much.
So fashion statement it is with this faux fur vest. I styled mine with an adorable black polka dot sleeve dress and bright tights. Like I mentioned in my earlier post, I love wearing burgundy (these tights are more around the dark red end) in the fall/winter. Of course i'm wearing my Steve Madden Booties again that I just can't get enough of.

Special shout-out to my wonderful fiance who worked his magic behind the camera. He was such a sweetheart about taking these photo's for me. We had a blast during our little photo session...

Veteran's Day & Camouflage

Good Day Loves & Happy Veteran's Day!

Today is special day because we honor those who have served in armed services. I'm happy to say my wonderful father is a veteran and served in the US Air Force. In honor of Veteran's day, I decided to wear my camouflage leggings. Camouflage can be paired with most colors but in this case, I made the decision to pair mine with burgundy. Believe it or not, I found this burgundy over sized sweater at a thrift store last year for only $3.00. I love wearing burgundy in the fall and thought I could wear it someday and I was right! I also layered the sweater with a light weight white blouse underneath (since this sweater is low cut in front). My faux leather jacket is also an oldie but goodie. And I can't forget my new buckle booties from Steve Madden. These SM buckle booties are perfect for fall and all outfits (dresses, leggings, skinnies).

I hope everyone is enjoying this veteran's day <3
